How Investigation Catalyst works

A. Developing Descriptions

5. Showing Coupled Interactions

Investigators determine coupled interactions (if/then or cause-effect relationships) among EBs, and document their interdependency with arrows leading from the initiating to the resulting EBs. During the investigation, users insert tentative links (dashed lines) or confirmed links (solid lines). Arrows with filled (black) arrow heads indicate links that have passed all logic tests, indicating the completeness of the description.
